Sarah Groh – Groh Music Academy

Sarah Groh Correa is the Visionary Strategist of Groh Music. She is also a professional singer and studio business professional. Her teaching philosophy begins with “where your are,” by listening and connecting with each student and a plan to help them reach their singing and personal goals. Breathing and vocal technique that includes bel canto style paired with classical, jazz, musical theater, worship and current popular repertoire make a winning program for lessons. Sarah has taught privately and sung extensively throughout the US as a member and soprano soloist for the St. Joseph Community Chorus, Kansas City Choral, Colorado Springs Chorale and the Colorado Vocal Arts Ensemble.

She has also toured with choirs to Japan, India, England and Italy. Ms. Groh Correa has designed a program that helps singers set easily achievable goals while building self-confidence and allowing for self discovery. Her work with adults, teens and elementary age singers incorporates music learning, fun, stress relief, self-discovery, vocal technique and goal setting.

Through her work with adult singers, Sarah has seen deeper connections arise from the study of voice. Life coaching and spiritual direction flow naturally from knowing your own voice. She believes this can change your thinking and therefore, your view and choices for a better life.

Sarah has 16 years of choir directing and worship leading experience and holds degrees in Voice Performance from the University of Kansas and Arizona State University and an MA in Leadership from Fuller Theological Seminary. Sarah is a member of the Colorado Vocal Arts Ensemble, www.cvae.org and is on the board of the Pikes Peak Arts Council and the Pikes Peak Music Teachers Association.

She leads the Sarah Groh Quartet – www.sgqjazz.com.

Sarah is a certified teacher of both Rhythm and Broadway Tap and teaches Advancing Academic Achievement, a Life Skills class at Pikes Peak Community College. She enjoys a very active lifestyle of running, hiking, dancing and travel with her husband Scott Correa, who is an avid rock climber, COS native, and a case worker at Rocky Mountain Human Services, Homes for all Vets.
