“I want to create realistic impressionistic watercolors that capture the beauty and mood of my subjects while creating a story that attracts the viewer to the painting. My goal is to keep my work simple, juicy and with a realistic pop. I want to show off how much fun watercolor painting is for
Richard Hahn (Rich) Artist
Richard Hahn was born in Minnesota, and raised in Denver, Colorado. As a child he learned to appreciate fine art from his father Robert Hahn, a noted designer and fine artist. Richard studied fine art at Western State College and commercial art at the Colorado Institute of Art. Richard has 42 years of experience as a commercial artist, designer, art director and media productions manager for a large aviation corporation. Richard now retired, finds himself devoting more of his time working on his studio and plein air watercolors. Living in the small rural town of Kiowa Colorado, has inspired him to paint the people, animals and landscapes of his state. Richard’s paintings can be found in many private collections throughout the United States. Richard is a member of the Parker Artist Guild, Tri-lakes Center for the Arts and The National Arts Program.
