Laurel Bedingfield Arnett

LAUREL BEDINGFIELD has been making things since she can remember. Coming from a family of artists and having the opportunity to visit Grandma Prisbrey’s bottle houses (Simi Valley, CA) quite often as a child helped mold her fondness for the odd, beautiful and dark things in life.

Her artwork varies in media and has been shown and is owned by many across the states. She has had the honor to be part of ‘Body Packaging’, a live art runway show through all of their seasons, shown work in various art shows and galleries and has been represented in many retail shops.

Her dolls are a good depiction of the bittersweet and her life long love of creating small things. They are each individual (00AK) so no molds are ever used. They’re out of proportion, usually have some ailment and almost always have bug eyes. The clothing is all hand stitched unless a bit of vintage fabric has some machine sewing already on it. They are not freestanding but most are posable and will sit or hang well.

Consignments are always welcome as she is happy to re-create an existing doll from the gallery, do a custom design or even make a doll of an actual person.
